Rumors- Debunked!

 Rumor number two: Hermione obviously loves Ron because in POA, she grabs his hand when Harry gets very close to a dangerous animal.

Okay, what kind of rumor IS this?  Hello?!  She was scared for Harry!  Dude, he's about to be killed by some mad chicken-type thing.  I think I would be pretty tense, too, if the love of my life was going to get his head eaten off!  So, let's examine it, though, anyway.

We have here the one moment in the Harry Potter series where Hermione is touching Ron's hand.  Not even holding it, just touching it. But hey, let's back up first.  Who was it who grabbed Harry only two minutes before?  Yeah, it was Hermione.  Remember Malfoy's taunting?  Exactly.

If every time Hermione grabs onto Ron, it's considered "shippy", but it's not when she grabs Harry's shoulder?  Um, right.  Sorry.  That just doesn't make any logical sense whatsoever.  But anyhow, after this, Hermione is extremely scared when Harry goes up to that Hippogriff.

I mean, LOOK at her!  *Yes, I used the large version for this one.  You know, in case people couldn't spot this or anything.*  Hey, wait a minute.... why isn't Hermione next to Ron now?  It would be her one chance to be with him alone because Harry isn't there.  But I'm a bit distracted by Seamus's funny little tie there on the right.  So distracted that I won't rub it into other people's faces about this slight ironic moment there.

So there she is touching his shirt.  Oooh, very shippy, no?  *Laughs*  Yeah, right. 

Oh, what, there's more?  Oh no, I'm shaking my little space boots! *as said by Dr. Evil*  Yeah, are we supposed to be impressed by that?  Ha!

Look at THESE pictures, then, if clinging to an arm is shippy!  I mean, these would HAVE to be shippy by default, right?

I'm distracted by the fact that they are on top of each other...

Awww now THAT'S adorable!  And there are so much more cute little hand grabs, etc. but those will have to be for next time, I suppose.

So, I think it's proper to say that one little hand grab scene doesn't make up for a whole movie of Squee! moments.  In fact, I was too distracted by all these cute little H/Hr moments to even care about that one little scene! So, this rumor is also debunked.
