You know in that one scene at Dumbledore's funeral when Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny are all sitting together?  JKR has Ron sitting beside Hermione and Harry by Ginny *groan*, because she has suddenly decided to have a R/Hr and H/G ship going on.  Well, if you think about it, what would happen if Hermione WAS the one to sit by Harry, and not Ginny?  What would have happened?

 Well, if Hermione sat by Harry, Ginny would become suspicious.  After all, five minutes later Harry breaks up with her.  Wouldn't that look suspicious? 

Hermione leans on Ron when she is crying, and all of the r/hr shippers go mad then, but honestly he IS the only one that she can lean on.  He's a friend, so it's okay to lean on him, and NOT romantic to do so.  After all, Hermione has leaned on Harry's shoulder tons of times, both in the films AND in the books, and it was a friendly gesture to do so.  Though H/Hr shippers think it sweet when they do this, it's not romantic when they lean on each other.  What IS romantic is when, for example, during the Yule Ball scene in the book GOF when Harry wants to talk to Hermione about the subject of SPEW, even though he doesn't like to talk about it.  But he has a sudden urge to when he sees Hermione and Krum together, talking at the table.  That was so sweet that he thought of her, even when he was with his own date!  Did he think of Ginny?  No!

 Harry and Ginny's relationship in HBP is purely passion, NOT romantic.  Stupid hormones!  >.<  It's just a fun thing, and let's face it, at that age everyone does that sort of thing.  Teens are confused about who you really like, and if they are just a friend or not, or what the heck is even going on!  Harry is confused about Hermione, and though it's not said, you can see and feel the energy and connection between them.

Besides, Harry breaks up with Ginny (even if it WAS in a Spiderman cliché way...)  When he gets back from defeating Voldie *IF he gets back, that is*, it will be to Hermione that he runs to, not Ginny.
